Team OCF at the VHI Women's Mini Marathon Ireland

Run, jog or walk the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon on behalf of the OCF

Each year more and more women are running the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon in support of a cause that is special to them. Last year we had over a hundred participants on behalf of the Oesophageal Cancer Fund, who all helped raise awareness and vital funds for research into oesophageal cancer.

We need your help to raise the €50,000 required to meet our commitment in 2019 to fund the Irish costs of the Neo-AEGIS International Clinical Trial.

The trial has the potential to significantly change clinical practice internationally and improve outcomes for patients with cancer of the oesophagus. It is a pivotal trial for oesophageal cancer in Ireland, and the OCF has been delighted to provide some support for the seminal trial that may change practice globally.

Get involved in Lollipop Day

Lollipop Day is the Oesophageal Cancer Fund's (OCF) national annual fundraising drive. On this day our Lollipop Day volunteers, young and old alike, take to the streets all over Ireland to sell lollipops and help educate the public about the symptoms of oesophageal cancer.

Businesses, retailers and schools can support the OCF by holding Lollipop Day events and/or by selling lollipops on their premises. Local community groups can get involved by organising events such as coffee mornings etc. The support of retailers such as SuperValu, Aldi and Dunnes Stores allows our volunteers to collect in their stores at designated times.

To get involved with Lollipop Day you can:

For more information call Anne 086 4542713 / Eileen 086 0697328 or mail here.
